Pasadena and Glendale are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Bulldogs will host the Nitros at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Pasadena is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Ellen Gomez made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Gomez was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Sophia Arrechiga was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was MIlania Thomas, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.
Pasadena always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .850. They are undefeated (2-0) when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Glendale's offense. They came up short against Arcadia on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Nitros in their meetings with the Apaches: they've now lost eight in a row.
Glendale's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Pasadena, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-6-1.
