Tucker Tornatta continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Luke Ellspermann was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Evansville Harrison earned a 81-70 victory over Springfield Southeast on Saturday. Given Evansville Harrison's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 19th in Indiana, while Springfield Southeast is ranked 403rd in Illinois), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Malachi Mcnair, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Summitt, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Evansville Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Evansville Harrison, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's match: Evansville Memorial have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 4.9 threes per game. It's a different story for Evansville Harrison, though, as they've been averaging only 7.2 threes per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
