Somerset Academy South Homestead's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Justice Sheppard, who dropped a triple-double on 13 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. Sheppard is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sakura Barnes, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Somerset Academy South Homestead's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Archbishop Carroll, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Somerset Academy South Homestead will be playing in front of their home fans against Southridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Archbishop Carroll's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hebrew Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 15th. Hebrew Academy's defense has only allowed 26.4 points per game this season, so Archbishop Carroll's offense will have their work cut out for Archbishop Carroll.
