The Bloomburg Wildcats will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Queen City Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bloomburg is hoping to put an end to a 13-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Bloomburg was beaten by Sulphur Bluff 75-17. Bloomburg was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-6.
Meanwhile, Queen City had to suffer through a rough 74-40 loss at the hands of Hooks. While losing is never fun, Queen City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1286th, while Hooks is ranked 128th).
Bloomburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Queen City, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Bloomburg was taken down by Queen City 82-27 when the teams last played back in December of 2016. Can Bloomburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
