Saddle Brook (N.J.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as it threw a touchdown with with 8:00 remaining in the second quarter, bringing the team to victory over
Bogota (N.J.) 34-12.
The Falcons were up 20-12 at the half after taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the second quarter.
Saddle Brook expanded its lead to 15 points entering the fourth quarter. SB scored once in the quarter on a defensive touchdown.
The Falcons secured its victory by scoring seven points in the fourth quarter to push the final margin to 22.
The Buccaneers'
Gordon Kohles played well. The senior quarterback ran for one touchdown. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.
Bogota came in allowing just 17.7 points per game this season. Saddle Brook came into the game allowing 14.4 points per game. The 12 points that BHS ended with were well below its average of 26.0 coming into the game.
Saddle Brook (7-1) goes up against New Milford in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Bogota (4-4) locks horns with Lodi also in a non-conference game.
