This season hasn't been kind to the Wingfield Falcons, who are still winless after their 15th game. They lost to Raymond at home by a decisive 64-49 margin on Tuesday. Wingfield has not had much luck with Raymond recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Wingfield still got an impressive performance from Tyler Arrington, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. Arrington scored a full 42.9% of Wingfield's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kentrell Jordan, who scored 13 points.
Wingfield's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-15. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points per game. As for Raymond, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wingfield will take on Lanier at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Raymond will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Richland at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Richland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Raymond is ranked first).
