The Lathrop Malemutes posted their biggest victory since December 22, 2023 on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 63-43 margin over Petersburg. For Lathrop, this counts as revenge for the 51-48 loss Petersburg walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2015.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lathrop to victory, but perhaps none more so than Deshon Hall, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Devonte Hall, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Lathrop's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Petersburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
Lathrop and Palmer will face off at 1:30 p.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Palmer's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups. Petersburg will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Metlakatla on February 16th.
