Hagerman extended the longest winning streak in 1A District 2 this week by beating Jal, 47-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Hagerman's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bobcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Alejandro Ramos has thrown for 1585 yards and 22 touchdowns this season, while Jessie Rodriguez has 36 catches for 713 yards. Ramos also leads the league in rushing with 329 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Hagerman takes on second place Fort Sumner. Hagerman defeated the Panthers last week, while Fort Sumner bested Loving.
Casey Crandall's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,262 from 10,782. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 47-0 victory over Jal last week.
