Lenoir City hasn't had much luck against Loudon recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Redskins at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lenoir City is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Sequoyah 15-3 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Chiefs: they've now won four in a row.
Hunter Click and James Abercrombie were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Click tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Abercrombie pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Click a new career-high in strikeouts (five). At the plate, Click got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs, while Abercrombie got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Click has become a key player for Lenoir City: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-20 otherwise.
