The Cedar Reds will square off against the Juab Wasps at 8:30 a.m. on Friday. Juab took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Cedar, who comes in off a win.
Cedar's tournament run continued when they took on Provo on Saturday. Cedar blew past Provo 12-6. Considering the Reds have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Gavin Mackert was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. He has become a key player for Cedar: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Karson Duncan, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Juab was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Crimson Cliffs.
Corbin Buchanan was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out seven over 5.1 innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Juab saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Park, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Cedar has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.3 runs. Juab now has a losing record of 2-3.
Juab's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cedar has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .465. It's a different story for Juab, though, as they've only averaged .352. Will they be able to contain Cedar's hitters?
Cedar suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Juab when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Cedar avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
