Auburn Mountainview hadn't done well against Federal Way recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Auburn Mountainview Lions walked away with a 74-64 victory over the Federal Way Eagles. The win was just business as usual for the Lions, who after six games remain undefeated this season.

Auburn Mountainview's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sebastian Arius, who shot 4-for-7 from deep and dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Arius is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played dating back to last season. Kolven Posey was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten assists.

Auburn Mountainview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Auburn Mountainview's record now sits at 6-0. As for Federal Way, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Auburn Mountainview and Decatur will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Decatur has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Federal Way will take on Evergreen in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Federal Way knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Evergreen likes a good challenge.
