After flying high against the Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology Griffins last Thursday, the Panorama Pythons came back down to earth. Panorama fell 52-39 to Canoga Park on Friday. Panorama has not had much luck with Canoga Park recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Panorama's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alan Rodriguez, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Eduardo Munguia, who scored nine points.
Panorama has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Canoga Park, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Panorama will take on Magnolia Science Academy 5 at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Magnolia Science Academy 5 is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Canoga Park, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Sherman Oaks CES at 4:30 p.m. Sherman Oaks CES knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matchups -- so hopefully Canoga Park likes a good challenge.
