7A District 3 recap September 10, 2013
Terry Bennett of Atlantic Coast ran for the longest rushing play in 7A District 3 this season against Englewood last week. Bennett scampered for 94 yards on the play and finished with 170 on the day as his team topped the Rams.
Jackson White and Naquan Howard provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Clay. The connection went for 80 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
Buchholz's dynamic duo of White and Howard proved to be unstoppable against the Blue Devils, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. White threw for 121 yards and 3 touchdowns and Howard had 89 yards receiving. Jared Goar helped Buchholz's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 23 yards.
The Bobcats' dynamic duo of White and Howard proved tough for Clay to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
White put up the best numbers through the air as Buchholz beat Josh Hoekstra's team.
He went 6-12 with 2 interceptions.
Bennett was the most successful running back in the league this week. Tevonn Hobbs also contributed to the rushing game with 13 yards on the ground.
Howard was the best wideout in 7A District 3 this week as Mark Whittemore's team defeated the Blue Devils.

The Bobcats' White and Howard have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. White has thrown for 205 yards this season, while Howard has 6 catches for 105 yards. Kevin Sullivan's team's Bennett leads the league in rushing yards with 270.
Fleming Island was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in the league. Earlier in the week, the Golden Eagles defeated Bartram Trail 38-14.
