The Deshler Dragons will take on the Diller-Odell Griffin in a tournament on Friday. Deshler is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season.
Deshler is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Franklin: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Deshler blew Franklin out of the water with a 64-28 final score. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 22 points or more this season.

Easton Nash was his usual excellent self, going 10 of 21 on his way to 27 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. Carson Sieber was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 10 points in addition to eight boards and five assists.
Meanwhile, Diller-Odell beat Lewiston 45-36 on Friday.
Diller-Odell's win came from a few key players Deshler will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cooper Morgan, who posted ten points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Those six assists gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Zaboktrsky, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points.
Diller-Odell was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Deshler has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Diller-Odell, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Deshler has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 27.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Diller-Odell struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Deshler came up short against Diller-Odell in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, falling 34-25. Can Deshler avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
