Zane Farney Delivers Best Effort of Season
Zane Farney produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Sterling to the win on Friday. Farney rushed for 300 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 17.6 yards per carry. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. His longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.
For the year, Farney has run in 14 touchdowns while averaging 168.1 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had nine rushing touchdowns.

Spencer Crumrine Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Sedgwick had to settle for second even though Spencer Crumrine put up the best numbers he has all season. Crumrine picked up 170 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He didn't just play on offense: he also made six total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defended a pass.
Sedgwick moved to 6-1 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. Crumrine and Sedgwick will square off against Remington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sedgwick Gets a Boost from Crumrine in 41-40 Loss
Another Sedgwick player making an appearance on this list is Corey Crumrine. He threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.
Crumrine is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Remington on Friday. When Crumrine last faced the Broncos back in October of 2023, he threw for 448 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.2 yards per attempt.

The second Sterling player making an appearance here is Wyatt Newberry, and for good reason. He rushed for 80 yards on only six carries.
