The Roy Royals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 61-46 fall against Northridge. If Roy was looking for revenge after losing 52-42 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Despite the defeat, Roy had strong showings from Corben Schuffenhauer, who scored 14 points, and Bronson Belnap, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schuffenhauer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Dahlen Pontius, who scored eight points.
Roy's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Northridge, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roy will take on the Lakers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bonneville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Northridge, they will be playing at home against the RedHawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bountiful's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
