Legacy Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the New Mexico School for the Deaf Roadrunners at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Mexico School for the Deaf took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Legacy Academy, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Legacy Academy beat the Eagles 46-42.
Legacy Academy found their leader in underclassman Briley Boll, who scored six points along with 20 rebounds.
Meanwhile, New Mexico School for the Deaf's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 96-7 loss at the hands of Wisconsin School for the Deaf. New Mexico School for the Deaf was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-2.
Legacy Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for New Mexico School for the Deaf, they dropped their record down to 4-4 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Legacy Academy against the Roadrunners in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 55-21 victory. Will Legacy Academy repeat their success, or do the Roadrunners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
