On Saturday, the Sacred Hearts Academy Lancers faced the Pearl City Chargers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Sacred Hearts Academy took a 29-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pearl City. Sacred Hearts Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Pearl City to victory were Aiesha DeWeever and Aiyanna Parker. DeWeever scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals, while Parker scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds. The match was DeWeever's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Kendal Adaro was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Sacred Hearts Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Pearl City, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
