Vacaville Christian extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 5-8. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Golden Sierra Grizzlies. The game was the first time the Falcons have beaten the Grizzlies on their field since April 6, 2023.

Hailey Hulsey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elena Vizcay, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emily Edgar, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
As for Golden Sierra, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9. Grizzlies fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Vacaville Christian since Tuesday.
Like Vacaville Christian, Golden Sierra also got a great game from a two-way player: Sophie Trahan. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Trahan was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Tessa Hill was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Lucy Miller was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.
Vacaville Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against San Juan on the 29th. Hopefully Golden Sierra paid attention to the Falcons' game: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
