Jones is 3-0 against Cypress Creek since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Jones Fightin' Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Cypress Creek Bears at 7:00 p.m. Jones has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 611 points over their last ten contests.
Jones posted their closest win yet this season on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Wekiva and snuck past 64-61. Given Jones' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while Wekiva is ranked 297th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Cypress Creek came up short against Impact Christian Academy on Saturday and fell 45-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cypress Creek has scored all season.
Jones' win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Cypress Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
Jones beat Cypress Creek 77-67 in their previous meeting back in January of 2022. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Cypress Creek's Casey Johnson, who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Now that he won't be playing on Thursday, will it be that much easier for Jones to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
