Drury is 1-6 against Taconic since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Blue Devils will venture away from home to take on the Thunder at 4:00 p.m. Drury will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Drury is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Chicopee Comp on Friday as they made off with a 21-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won three games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Olivia Perry made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Drury got a massive performance out of Ava Carriddi, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases. Madilyn Demary also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Taconic made sure to put some runs up on the board against Wahconah Regional on Friday. The Thunder walked away with an 11-7 win over the Warriors. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Like Drury, Taconic also got a great game from a two-way player: Cheyann Goddard. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Goddard was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kylie Duhamel was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Ella Stodden was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
The victory got Drury back to even at 4-4. As for Taconic, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5.
Drury came out on top in a nail-biter against Taconic in their previous matchup back in May of 2019, sneaking past 7-6. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Thunder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
