The Goshen Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 67-45 walloping at the hands of Brantley. Goshen lost against Brantley in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 65-46 score last time.
It was another big night for Jayden Parks, who scored 32 points along with six rebounds and three steals for Brantley. The contest was Parks' 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daylan Davis, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Goshen has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Brantley, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with that win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goshen will square off against Zion Chapel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brantley and Florala will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Florala has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 372 points over their last six games.
