Football Recap: Saint Andrew's Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Saint Andrew extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 3-0. They enjoyed a cozy 45-28 win over the NSU University Sharks. For the Scots, this counts as revenge for the 16-14 victory the Sharks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Jack Williams had a dynamite game, throwing for 241 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt. Saint Andrew's leading receiver Dylan Faison was Williams' top target yet again, picking up 98 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

As for NSU University, they now have a losing record of 2-3. They gained 85 more yards on the day, but it was Saint Andrew's that made the best use of them.

When it comes to explaining why NSU University lost, don't look at Jayden Miller. Despite the final result, he threw for 322 yards and three touchdowns. The Sharks' leading receiver Carlos Avila-Lopez was Miller's top target yet again, picking up 104 receiving yards and one score.

Saint Andrew's didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 47-8 win against St. John Paul II Academy on the 15th. As for NSU University, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th. The Stallions' defense has only allowed 3.2 points per game this season, so the Sharks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
