The Columbine Rebels will head out on the road to challenge the Conifer Lobos at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbine is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.
Columbine will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Dakota Ridge, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rebels walked away with a 13-10 win over the Eagles on Saturday. 13 seems to be a good number for the Rebels as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Salvador Dominguez, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Porter Hesman, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Columbine lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Conifer, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over Northfield on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lobos have posted since April 12, 2025.
Brandon Roe was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season. Andrew Janasiewicz was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Columbine and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Conifer, their record is now 3-1.
Columbine was able to grind out a solid win over Conifer when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
