Memorial Day extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Johnkeria Miles. The Memorial Day Matadors simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Southside Christian Patriots 49-19 thanks in part to Miles, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. Miles is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

Despite the loss, Southside Christian had strong showings from Ani Cowa, who posted nine points, and Ali Cowa, who had seven points.

Memorial Day pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Southside Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Memorial Day wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 38-36 win against Alleluia Community on the 14th. As for Southside Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-32 victory against Brunswick Christian Academy on the 14th.
