The Perry Commodores will head out on the road to  challenge  the Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Perry is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7  runs per game  this season.

Shively has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive pitching appearances. At the plate,  Shively  scored a  run while going 1-for-5, while  Douce  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-5.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Hunter Scott, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Jace Woods, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Waynesfield-Goshen came into Thursday's   game having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with  an   8-3  win over Upper Scioto Valley  on Thursday. Waynesfield-Goshen's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Perry has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record  this season. As for Waynesfield-Goshen, their victory  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 1-7.
 Perry was able to grind out a solid  win over Waynesfield-Goshen in their previous matchup  back in March, winning  6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Perry since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
