Linden is on a six-game streak of home losses, Johnson a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Linden Patriots will take on the Johnson Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Linden suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Keith 96-37. While losing is never fun, Linden can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while Keith is ranked 202nd).
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 83-13, which was the final score in Johnson's tilt against Keith on Tuesday. Johnson has not had much luck with Keith recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Linden's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Johnson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
Linden didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Johnson in their previous matchup two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 77-72 win. Does Linden have another victory up their sleeve, or will Johnson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
