Basketball Recap: Milton Skates Past North with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Milton). They blew past the North Blue Devils 86-56 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Red Hawks have posted since February 3rd.

Despite the loss, North still got an impressive performance from Eugene Brinson, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds. Brinson is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarion Martin, who posted 15 points and five rebounds.

The win was the third in a row for Milton, bringing their record for this year to 4-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.3 points per game. As for North, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milton and Burlington will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North, they will take on Carmen Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Carmen Northwest's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
