Sioux County was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Arthur County 54-8. The Warriors came in at 18 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Wauneta-Palisade extended the longest winning streak in Six-man West (6 Man) this week by beating Maywood, 52-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
The Tigers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dalton Littell threw for 89 yards and Austin Phillips had 51 yards receiving. On the ground Littell chipped in 54 yards. Calyn Werkmeister helped Maywood's passing attack out by catching one ball for 38 yards.
Maywood's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jacob Dibbern has thrown for 413 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Aaron Doxon has 11 catches for 249 yards. Dibbern also leads the league in rushing with 203 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Maywood takes on Hyannis. Charles Jones's team's offense has scored 92 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Longhorns have allowed only 257 on the year.
A big matchup in Six-man West (6 Man) this week will be when Cody-Kilgore takes on Sioux County. As it stands, the Cowboys are in third, while Barry Swisher's team is in second.
The Warriors took down the Wolves 54-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
