It was a good run, but Edgewood unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sulphur Springs Wildcats. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

While Edgewood had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20.

Edgewood now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Sulphur Springs, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Edgewood has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Farmersville on the 19th. As for Sulphur Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Greenville on the 19th.
