Wheatmore has struggled against Uwharrie Charter recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Wheatmore still got an impressive performance from Parker Kines, who scored 18 points along with two steals and two blocks. Kines is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Finley Bryant, who scored six points along with three steals and two blocks.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Uwharrie Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aaron Smith, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Walker Wilkins, who scored 12 points.
Wheatmore's loss was their 17th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Uwharrie Charter, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9.
