Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fruitdale). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Millry Wildcats 58-17. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Pirates considering their 18-point performance the match before.

Fruitdale's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Millry, their defeat was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Fruitdale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-30 loss against Leroy on the 10th. As for Millry, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-19 defeat against Southern Choctaw on the 14th.
