The Houlton Shiretowners are headed away from home for the first time to square off against the Orono Riots at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
Houlton lost 10-3 to Maine Central Institute on Friday.

Meanwhile, Orono hadn't done well against Bucksport recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Riots were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Golden Bucks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Riots.
Jack Brewer and Kason Bagley made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Brewer tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Bagley didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. At the plate, Brewer went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Bagley went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andrew Barrett, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Will Francis, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Orono kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bucksport only managed four hits.
Orono now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Houlton, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
Houlton might still be hurting after the 14-0 defeat they got from Orono in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Shiretowners avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
