This season hasn't been kind to the Greenville Patriots, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They had to suffer through a rough 64-37 loss at the hands of Central.
When it comes to explaining why Greenville lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Shalillan Kelley. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with 5 steals. Kelley is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Daliyah Ellison, who scored 8 points along with 3 steals.
Greenville bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Central, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Greenville will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Taylor County at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. Taylor County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Greenville in Georgia (Taylor County is ranked 118th, while Greenville is ranked 421st). As for Central, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against South Paulding at 1:00 p.m. Hopefully South Paulding focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Thursday.
