May River got a massive performance out of Kali Clark, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Clark has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckayla Landry, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.
May River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hilton Head Island only posted an OBP of .133.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Beaufort). They put the hurt on Bishop England with a sharp 19-4 victory on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.
Adalyn Johnson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Caylin Adkins was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Emily Robinson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.
