If St. Joseph-by-the-Sea wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Archbishop Stepinac, they should've done a better job of containing John Smith. The Crusaders came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 24-17 on Friday with plenty of help from Smith, who rushed for 150 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 55 receiving yards and one score. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 120 rushing yards.

Although St. Joseph-by-the-Sea took the loss, they still got scores from Yue Christian and Moran Joseph.

Archbishop Stepinac now has a winning record of 3-2. As for St. Joseph-by-the-Sea, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Archbishop Stepinac has already played their next contest, a 14-6 victory against Cardinal Hayes on the 3rd. As for St. Joseph-by-the-Sea, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 23-14 win against Kellenberg Memorial on the 4th.
