Glendale Prep Academy is on  a  four-game streak of home wins, while Mohave Accelerated is on  a  five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Griffins will welcome the Patriots  at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Tuesday, Glendale Prep Academy got the win against St. John Paul II Catholic  by a conclusive  16-2.
 Rachel Rockey made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Rockey was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Sophia Nakachi was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.  Raegan Rockey was another key player,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Glendale Prep Academy  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .750. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. John Paul II Catholic only posted  an  OBP of  .474.
Meanwhile, Mohave Accelerated made easy work of Mesquite  on Monday and carried off  a  20-3 win.
Like Glendale Prep Academy, Mohave Accelerated also got a great game from a two-way player:  Kennedy Lamb. On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   nine  hits (and not a single walk). Lamb has been consistent  for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in 13 consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate,  firing off two  home runs, nine  RBI,  and three  runs while going 4-for-5. That's the most  home runs  she has posted since back in March.
 In other batting news,  Tanner Banks was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, five  runs,  and six  RBI while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Megan Jones, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 Glendale Prep Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Mohave Accelerated, their win bumped their record up to 20-2.
 The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Glendale Prep Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 4.1  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mohave Accelerated struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 7.5  stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
