The Vidalia Vikings''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 43-14 loss at the hands of General Trass. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Vidalia in their matchups with General Trass: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Vidalia had strong showings from Elmari Lewis, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns, and Michael Randall, who picked up 195 receiving yards.
General Trass' defense made their presence known, laying out the QB ten times. It was a group effort, with four guys contributing.
Vidalia's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for General Trass, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.
Vidalia will be playing in front of their home fans against Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Madison is ranked 260th, while Vidalia is ranked 257th). As for General Trass, they will head out on the road to face off against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oak Grove will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
