Make it ten blowout wins for the South Pasadena Tigers this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Monrovia 76-26 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-15.
It was another big night for Derek Peterson, who scored 25 points along with two steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Madison, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
South Pasadena is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. As for Monrovia, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.
South Pasadena's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. Blair knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 23 matches -- so hopefully the Tigers likes a good challenge. As for Monrovia, they will be playing at home against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Temple City is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
