Gibbs' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zack Turner, who scored 19 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The matchup was Turner's 18th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chase Norman, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Gibbs' defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Anderson County, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gibbs will take on Clinton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
