Basketball Game Preview: First Coast Christian Knights vs. Eagle's View Warriors

First Coast Christian hasn't had much luck against Eagle's View recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The First Coast Christian Knights will look to defend their home court against the Eagle's View Warriors at 8:15 p.m. First Coast Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season.

First Coast Christian is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Covenant School of Jacksonville: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that First Coast Christian blew Covenant School of Jacksonville out of the water with an 80-40 final score. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 22 points or more this season.

First Coast Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Ellis Jr., who went 7 for 11 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven assists and six steals. Ellis Jr. is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tahrell Gilbert, who went 8 for 11 on his way to 20 points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Meanwhile, Eagle's View came up short against Bishop Kenny on Thursday and fell 61-53. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

First Coast Christian now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Eagle's View, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3.
