The game was the first time the Cougars have beaten the Panthers on their court since September 13, 2021.
 SouthWest Edgecombe wouldn't go down easily and took North Johnston into a fifth set  where they got it done with a nine-point win. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-19, 21-25, 25-27,  15-6.
 The  victory  got SouthWest Edgecombe back to even at 10-10. As for West Craven, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.
 West Craven was able to grind out a solid  victory over SouthWest Edgecombe when the teams last played  on Monday, winning  3-1. Will the Eagles repeat their success,  or do  the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
