Sandburg barely beat Marian Catholic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Spartans on Monday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Sandburg, bringing their record up to 14-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Marian Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sandburg will be taking part in a tournament against Montini Catholic at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marian Catholic, they will take on Manteno at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
