In what's become a running theme this season, the Hooper Bay Warriors gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They blew past Lewis Angapak 81-48 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Hooper Bay who now have three in a row.
Hooper Bay had a senior duo take command as Carson Long scored 32 points and Latrell Lake scored 21 points. Long has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Billy Smith, who scored nine points.
Lewis Angapak's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashton White, who scored 20 points. White is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 17 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Castel, who scored 14 points.
Hooper Bay's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Lewis Angapak, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Hooper Bay's road trip will continue as they head out to face Alakanuk at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st. Hooper Bay has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 958 points over their last 13 contests. As for Lewis Angapak, they will be playing at home against Russian Mission on Thursday. Lewis Angapak is coming into the contest with four straight defeats at home, so Russian Mission is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
