Georgetown Day strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles as they made off with a 17-3 win. The Mighty Hoppers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.
Liya Fairfax was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Lindsay Fuzesi was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Georgetown Day pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.8 runs over those games.
