Morningside scaled the state rankings by moving to 586 from 626 this week, the biggest jump in Ocean. The Monarchs were able to move up by falling to Chaminade 71-8.
Morningside lost to the Eagles 71-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Culver City's Armani Rodgers and Stanley Norman have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-5 quarterback Rodgers has thrown for 1,289 yards this season, while Norman has 31 catches for 587 yards. Christian Williams from Derwin Henderson's team leads the league in rushing with 1,406 yards.
The Monarchs made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,131 from 8,677. The advance stemmed from a 71-8 victory over Morningside last week.
