After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Assumption, Silver Creek was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Scottsburg Warriors get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. Considering the Dragons have won ten matches by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Tessa Gibson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Gibson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other pitching news, Karmen McMillan looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
