The Southside Christian Warriors suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were the victim of a tough 75-54 defeat at the hands of Liberty Christian. Southside Christian has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Boush, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Boush has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Ethan Evans was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Southside Christian's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4. As for Liberty Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Southside Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Living Water Christian on January 19th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Bo Koebbe and Boush. As for Liberty Christian, they will be playing at home against Cristo Rey Research Triangle at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
