With a playoff win on the line, Medfield rose to the challenge  on Friday. They walked away with  a   4-1  victory over the Greater Lowell Tech Gryphons. The  win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on seven straight.
 Luke Gobin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Cj Herrick, who  went 1-for-2 with two  RBI and one  run. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in April.  Alex Zilora was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
Medfield's victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 12-8. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Greater Lowell Tech, they now  have a losing record of 9-10.
As of now, neither Medfield nor the Gryphons have any future games scheduled.
