On Tuesday, Whale Branch was able to grind out a solid victory over New Hope Leadership Academy, taking the game 61-54.
Kevin Jenkins was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Bradford Thompson, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the loss, New Hope Leadership Academy still got an impressive performance from Sugar Eaton , who scored 30 points. Eaton scored a full 55.6% of New Hope Leadership Academy's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Trey Hampton was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
